Why I Volunteer: Jay Oliverio

I started volunteering for the JP Hall Children Charities Christmas Party as the official photographer. I was so impressed with what I saw, that the next year I became involved with packing bags and handing out the bags at the party. I continue to come back every year just to see the joyous expression on the faces of the children when they receive their bags. Knowing that they will have a wonderful Christmas, gives me a lot of joy.

I also like the annual auction so other people in the community can see what the charity does for the underprivileged children of Clay County.

The 39th Annual J.P. Hall Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 13th from 12 noon until 4:00PM.  In the interest of protecting both our volunteers and the families receiving gifts, we have made significant changes to the Christmas Party.

  1. The Party will be a drive thru event only and people will not be allowed of their vehicles.
  2. Children must be in the vehicle to receive gifts.
  3. Proof of Clay County residency will be required.
  4. No overnight stays in the parking lot will be allowed.
  5. There will not be bikes given away at this year’s event.
  6. We are not accepting volunteers.

We appreciate your understanding and compliance to these new requirements.
